2008 Thailand BJJ Open Tournament Bangkok, Thailand #1

Team MMA Phuket competes in the “Gi” division of the 2008 Thailand BJJ Open sponsored by FBT Thailand. TMT takes 2nd place in overall team competition and wins the Gold Medals in Black Belt, Purple Belt, and Absolute Black, Purple, and Silver in Blue Belt divisions on September 27, 2008.

Special thanks goes out to tournament coordinators Mark Simmerman, Luke Chaiya, Bangkok Fight Club, and EMAC, and the BJJ Association of Thailand for a fantastic tournament.

TMT also wishes to thank our head coach Ray Elbe, asst. coach Andreas Hessleback, BJJ Black Belt instructor Tony Eduardo (Shanghai BJJ) and all the members of Team MMA Thailand / Phuket for training, preparing, and competing, and bringing home the GOLD.
